Be part of the change—our committees are where strategy, accountability, and action take root. Every committee drives a key priority, plans events, and reports directly back to the group. Here's what you need to know:
Structure & Expectations

Each committee includes 5 members (including a Chair), with room to grow—but must always remain odd-numbered to ensure fair voting.

Meetings are held twice a month on off-weeks, lasting at least 30 minutes.

Committees research, plan, and execute initiatives.

Committee Members are expected to spend 1-2 hours a month in committee.

Committee Members are expected to support their initiatives when able.
Chair Role

Must have attended at least three full-group meetings before serving.

Required to attend both committee meetings monthly.

Required to attend one Indivisible Puyallup Leadership Meeting a month.

Decisions can be over-ruled by a vote of the full committee.

Leads the group and reports updates to leadership.
CORE COMMITTEE TEAMS

🔹 School Board Watch
This team tracks school district decisions and policies, pushing for equity, inclusion, and resources where they're needed most. From public comments to policy breakdowns, they build grassroots leverage at the institutional level.
🔹 City Council Watch
Focused on municipal governance, this team monitors ordinances and budgets while mobilizing for housing justice, public safety, infrastructure, and more. It’s where local advocacy meets citywide impact.
🔹 Planning
The backbone of our campaigns, initiatives, and policies—this team handles timelines, coordination, and resource strategy. They foster collaboration across committees and ensure our actions align with our mission.
🔹 Communications + Outreach
Crafting the message and moving the narrative. This team turns values into visibility—through design, social media, press releases, and storytelling. They're how our voice gets heard.
