Who do you follow/read?
There's so much information available today that it's difficult to keep up. There are a couple of people I follow who I trust to have clear eyes and heads.
Heather Cox Richardson has a daily newsletter and is on Substack Letters From an American. - "I'm a history professor interested in the contrast between image and reality in American politics. I believe in American democracy, despite its frequent failures."
I also follow Joyce Vance - "a former United States Attorney, currently a law professor and a legal analyst for MSNBC and NBC. I also co-host two podcasts, #SistersInLaw and Cafe’s Insider. I believe that being a citizen is the most important work any of us can do. As citizens, a key part of our role is to educate ourselves and stay informed." She can be read at her Substack, Civil Discourse.
