Chuck Schumer & the Continuing Resolution

When Chuck Schumer tossed away the democrats' only barging chip by signing onto the continuing resolution, Indivisible polled its group leadership which resulted in 91% wishing for Check to step down and allow for more aggressive leadership to take his place. Washington Indivisible Network decided to respond with a letter condemning Chuck Schumer's actions, requesting he step down, along with a letter thanking both our State Senators for their No votes.

Each Washington Indivisible group was asked to poll their membership and see if they would like to join in on or release their own statement. In 36-hours we did our best to provide everyone an opportunity to vote. As far as an emergency polling with zero processes previously establish goes, it went okay.

Indivisible Puyallup stands firm against the MAGA movement's unconstitutional actions and regressive policies. Chuck Schumer's support for the continuing resolution has compromised our community's safety. By funding this administration, Schumer and nine other Senators have endorsed authoritarian rule and federal abuse.

Indivisible Puyallup opposes all forms of authoritarianism and the Trump administration's subversion of our nation's laws. We cannot condone Senate leadership's collaboration with the MAGA movement. Therefore, we demand Chuck Schumer's immediate resignation as Minority Leader.
